Dates for the PTTL 2008
Below are the dates, times, courses and
results for this year's PTTL events. If any VBCC member
would like to ride any of these events you must contact
Eamon no later than 10 days before the day of the event.
Eamon will then inform the club promoters of the riders
wanting to ride. You must pay Eamon and not the club on
the day of the event if you pre-enter, which is £2.50.
If you enter on the day then you pay the promoting club.
If you miss the deadline you may still ride
the event but you will not be awarded any PTTL points.
The same goes for any rider not in one of the seven clubs
that make up the PTTL.
See the Rules for more information. More...

How the PTTL Works
Each event has a point scoring system allocated
to it. The fastest rider collects 120 points descending
down to the last (slowest) rider. At the end of the year
each rider's four best results are taken into account and
the points are calculated accordingly.
There will be a points-coordinator appointed
to correlate the results and for the Team award. For 2008
this is to be Geoff Loveman (FWCC).
The rider with the most points within their
own category is the winner. Click the links above for more
information regarding the rules etc.
The top placing's within the overall league
table (i.e. 1st, 2nd and 3rd)
will receive awards. In addition to this, awards will be
given to the best placed in the following categories:-
- Team Award
- Lady (L)
- Youth 12 to 16 (Y)
- Junior 16 to 18 (J)
- Senior 18 to 39 (S)
- Vets 40 to 49 (V)
- Senior Vets 50 to 59 (SV)
- Grand Vets 60+ (GV)
The minimum age for competitors when competing on a solo
machine is 12 years.

Team Award - For the team award, a team
will consist of three riders. The team shall be the fastest
3 riders from each participating club from each event. The
individual team score will be calculated by adding the fastest
3 riders PTTL point scores together making a sub-total.
This sub-total score will be carried over and added to the
next events sub-total score creating a new sub-total score.
This process to continue and after 7 events you will have
a grand total and a overall team winner.
Safety!
Remember, you will be competing on public
roads and therefore you must obey the highway code.
A hard-shelled helmet is compulsory for all Youth/Junior
riders and highly recommended for all other competitors.
Clothing should be tight-fitting and brightly coloured,
so that you can be easily seen. Your bike must be roadworthy
and, of course, you must look where you are going at all
times.
