This page contains information regarding cycling events local to this area. The events listed here cater for Road bikes only and are organised by various organisations/clubs outside of Velocity Bikes Cycling Club (except our own promotions).

Velocity Bikes Cycling Club will be promoting various local events during the year and these details can be found to the right under 'VBCC Events 2008'.

Cyclo-Sportive events, organised Charity events and local cycling club events are listed here and the aim of this page is to inform you what is available for you to ride.

Local Cycling Club Events

To ride any of the local cycling clubs events i.e. Time Trials or Reliability rides you must be a member of a cycling club, which is affiliated to the CTT (Cycling Time Trials).

Southdowns Challenge & Velocity Bikes

Velocity Bikes are very pleased to be part of the Southdowns Challenge, which is a cyclo-sportive event and attracts many riders of all abilities.

Two routes are available and both take you through some beautiful Hampshire countryside (hopefully on a lovely sunny day). Last year the cyclo-sportive event attracted more than 180 riders of all ages and abilities. More...

Please note:

For Time Trials you must be 12 years or older to ride an event. Riders under 18 years of age must produce a Parental Consent Form and present it to the club promoter on the day of the club time trial.

Club Events:- The entry fee for club events is £3.00. You can enter these club events either by turning up at the signing on area on the day or by contacting the club event TT secretary in advance.

Open Events:- Please refer to the CTT Handbook or the CTT Web site (link above) when entering an open event.
